+ As part of the Government's innitiative to futher improve and upgrade the capabilities and professionalism in fire prevention, protection and control as well as rescue work are being continued in the country, a budget of RM 1,500 million has been allocated in the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
+ The Malaysian government will continue its efforts to improve and upgrade the quality of fire and rescue services to meet fire safety requirement of international standard. During the Ninth Malaysia Plan period, more emphasis will be given to building additional fire stations and control bases as well as purchasing more comprehensive fire fighting and rescue equipment.
+ Fire prevention campaigns will continue to be conducted to enhance public awareness on the feed to take precautionary measures against fire incidents. Measures will be undertaken to disseminate information on fire prevention and protection through the mass media and printed materials.
+ The Fire and Rescue Department will continue to conduct exhibitions and training sessions using mobile exhibition vehicles.
+ The use of ICT in fire and rescue services will continue to expand on the installation of integrated command and control system.
